EYECANDY SMÖRGASBORD feat. Kidult, Tupac, Lena Dunham, Devendra Banhart, Alexander McQueen, Walter Van Beirendonck, etc.
Kidult. “No Gallery. No Master.” Love him or hate him, this artist has made his mark over the last few years and I’m curious to see this new documentary about his work. Want to know where he’s striking next? His blog features clues to the fans waiting to snatch the new stuff up as fast as they can.
2pacalypse now! This has been going around with the caption “2pac original business card“. What happens when you hail that pager now?
The animated video for Devendra Banhart’s “Taurobolium” is based on the 1960’s genre of ‘Mondo’ (“associated with exploitation, death and taboo”) and re-named “Mondo Taurobolium”. It features a couple of ducks voiced by Devendra and Rose McGowan going off on nightly benders filled with sexy loitering and existentialism amongst the wolves. It was directed by Galen Pehrson, who told Nowness she spent 2.140 hours making it.
Galen’s interview turned me on to Sally Cruikshank, who animated for Sesame Street but also cranked out the crazy in shorts like “Make me Psychic”

Came across this pic of Walter in the early days with his dog Sado.
Speaking of early days: Lena Dunham and her teenage goodies splayed out in her bedroom.
Aaaaaand a funny one to end: Ron Burgundy interviews quarterback Peyton Manning for ESPN.
