GET YOUR SIGNED COPY OF STREET CULTURE BIBLE “ALL GONE” AT AVENUE ANTWERP
I have been a fan of Michael “LaMJC” Dupouy’s ALL GONE “The finest of Street Culture” -books for years and we own several editions ourselves, so I’m pretty stoked that our friends at AVENUE have managed to get the man himself to come to Antwerp for an exclusive signing.
For most fans of the highest levels of street wear, not only is ALL GONE another one of those must-cops, it is also an often painful reminder of all the releases that got away. But if your purchases made it into the book, it might feel like you scored twice.
My brain is pretty fried from all today’s deadlines, but if I had to make an educated guess, I would say that fellow Belgians Case Studyo deservedly got selected for their “Fuck A Dollar & A Dream” by Grotesk and “Give Up” by Parra sculptures.
The Travi$ Scott doll might be in there.
The adidas Originals Yeezy Boost 750 black.
The Nike Lab x Stone Island puffa jackets were pretty pretty good.
The Gosha Rubchinskiy x Camper collaboration was one of my favourites.
That Stüssy x Patta x Pigalle “Less We Say” zipped hoodie was really good.
What do you think should be in there? I’m really curious!
Obviously, I think the finest of 2015 culture tout court was to be seen at our wedding this Summer.
Instead of people going “What are thoooose?” they went : “What is that waaaaaallllll?”
Back to the topic at hand : I loved that Michael created his own camo.
He says :
“For a very long time, I had in mind to create my own camouflage for the book and never really found a good way to make a unique one. The recent events that tragically happened in my hometown influenced me and I decided to pay homage and tribute to Paris and this region by dedicating a 100% camo pattern print in the city’s honor.
My homie Philippe Cuendet, co-founder of the Swiss Graphic Design Studio //DIY and Creative Director for ARMES and BMC Paris brilliantly translated the idea.
That’s how the IDF CAMO was born. IDF means “Ile de France” aka the “Parisian Region”. It includes the city of Paris and it is made up of 8 administrative departments, all symbolized by shapes and numbers: 75 for Paris, 77 for Seine et Marne, 78 for Yvelines, 91 for Essonne , 92 for Hauts de Seine, 93 for Seine Saint Denis, 94 for Val de Marne, and 95 for Val d’Oise.”
For this tenth anniversary, a second book was published, available in a collector’s box, including All Gone 2015 in a -what else- limited edition of 1,500 copies.
