EYECANDY smorgasbörd feat. Matthew Stone for Vogue Japan, Banksy for The Simpsons, Aloe Blacc, Hedi Slimane, Tame Impala, etc.
Embrace these things of beauty.
Above as below: Matthew Stone for Vogue Nippon.
There’s a lot of blogger hooha about the Banksy intro for The Simpsons: some think it’s a bit tame. I love it.The Simpsons as a force of capitalist evil, slave labour and unicorn abuse. Cookie, I think that ain’t tame.
Tame Impala is awesome, sends camera into space on a balloon. Simple, genius idea. (Great track, too.)
Rye Rye – “Sunshine” video, feat. a very relaxed M.I.A.
Having heard (some of) Rye Ryes’s new tracks when she hop-scotched through Belgium last summer, I can only say: RELEASE THAT MONSTER ALBUM!! Purrrdy please?
Mr. Blacc opts for the classy approach with director Alan Algee. Styling needs work, though.
More shades of grey: Nosaj Thing’s essential trippy track gets the B/W video treatment.

… and Hedi Slimane is set to drop his short film of idealised B/W Americana. This is the first teaser.
Ok, final funny one:
“Hi, my name is Christy Lee, and thanks for tuning in, because I’ve been hanging around in your subconscious!”
