EYECANDY SMÖRGASBORD feat. The Weeknd, Chloe Sevigny, King Krule, Slutever, Dive, etc.
It really does.
The Weeknd “The Knowing” directed by Mikael Colombu. *Sound of brain straining to get it.* *Sound of brain failing.* Still a great song, though.
King Krule – “The Noose of Jah City”
17 and angsty. Pain looks extra good on other ridiculously young people. Here’s another one of the kid formerly listed on hype-to-watch-things as ‘Zoo Kid’.
The Black Lips – “Raw Meat” rules. Produced in collaboration with Urban Outfitters. Oh, baby.
This morning, D told me “I think OLivier Zahm tweeted something about posting a video peeing on models in a bathtub.” So, kind of grossed out but being both big Purple Magazine fans and big R. Kelly fans, we rushed to see what that was all about. Turns out, the video is a SLUTEVER video of Karley Sciortino in the bath talking about things she has done in the name of love and weirdness.
If you haven’t visited the SLUTEVER blog by Karley, please do. She opens with lines like: “Having a vagina can be really stressfull” and posts images like these:
and ‘a day in the life’ of people who look like this:
and hanging out with the likes of Blood Orange:
Oh, and it’s very NSFW. Have fun!
Charli XcX – “Nuclear Seasons” is being pushed up by Pitchfork to be the ‘new pop sound of 2012’ *insert laser shoots and wolf howling here* and I ain’t mad at that.
Dive – “Sometime”. OK, not really a video. But this reminds me of the late (?) Sonic Youth in their best soft-fuzz moments.
Chlöe Sevigny dressed as Terry Richardson kissing Terry Richardson.Yup.
As usual: a funny one to end:
It’s the nineties!
