BOTTER Shows SS19 Collection at Berlin Fashion Week

Antwerp Fashion Department graduate Rushemy Botter and partner Lisi Herrebrugh have been racking up the accolades this year, incredibly deservedly so, with the BOTTER label's prestigious Grand Prix du Jury Première Vision at the Hyères Festival win - prompting Mercedes-Benz to award them a slot at Mercedes-Benz Berlin Fashion Week for SS19.

The "Fish or Fight" collection, an ode to the people of Curaçao and social commentary on pollution and logo-manic consumption, first saw the light at the Royal Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp Fashion Department graduate show of 2017 and has expanded into a fleshed-out, still highly covetable ensemble. There's a no rush-rush attitude to it but a focus on continuous growth as this young brand solidifies itself for the long run. The floral prints, jacquard polo shirts, gender-free relaxed suiting and stacked accessories grab the eye as much as the loud 'Bottermania' or 'HELL' logos do. Don't miss the plastic, hair and mosquito net tweed jacket either. Most definitely, as one myself, it goes without saying that I need that 'Caribbean Princess' shirt stat.
