The Most Podcast - Episode 42: Robin De Flô

This episode of The Most is made possible with the support of Modemuseum Hasselt and ‘Activewear’, the acclaimed fashion exhibition running until December 30 2021. Get your tickets for the all-new “STREETWEAR” expo, an addition to ‘Activewear’ - curated by Dominique Nzeyimana.

Episode 42! Robin De Flô, aka Flo – co-founder  & creative director of new sustainable repurposing project A(R)KAIV – joins Dominique Nzeyimana to capital-letter Talk. You likely know Flo best from his former store/brand A Cut Above: a cult Belgian label & movement that, for years, provided a unique reflection of Belgian skateboard, hip-hop and punk subculture.

On this episode, hear Flo’s story of growing up and making his own way in the knock-down world of (fashion) retail, the (r)evolution of A Cut Above, his home-fed love of music & navigating nightlife and business. Flo also discusses walking for Raf Simons, partying with Virgil Abloh, wanting to quit fashion for good, falling back in love through music, friends and vintage and how it all lead to the dawn of A:(R)KAIV. Flo opens up about a life of successes, stumbles and forever growth. He also discusses flipping high-end fashion back to its origins, moving on after loss, finding the right business partners, what the future holds, wedding-saving and being the plug for Virgil Abloh.
