12 O'Clock Boys
looks like a promising documentary about a group of Baltimore kids racing through the poverty-stricken areas of the city.
Chance the Rapper - "Everybody's Something"
Man, I listened to this song so many times while driving through the French valleys around Bordeaux these past two weeks.
and I can't wait to see the new video/short film Mr. Chancelor is involved in:
"Clapping for the Wrong Reasons"
by Donald Glover, or Childish Gambino.
Check the trailer, which has cameos byTrinidad Jame$, Flying Lotus, Danielle Fishel (Topanga!) and Abella Anderson (definitely not Topanga!).
"From One Second To The Next"
is a documentary by
about texting and driving.
It's a sparse, brutal half hour of interviews about the devastating effects of road accidents caused by texting and driving. Paid for by AT&T, but I think Herzog was right in his statement that this is not about selling a product, if anything it's about using a product less obsessively.
...and instead of a funny one to end, I'm using this as an excuse to post one of my favourite documentaries of all times: Werner Herzog's
"Bells From The Deep"
about religion and superstition in Russia.
