It's not easy to appease the fans of a cult classic like Suspiria, the insane but beautiful horror-flick by Dario Argento, brilliantly scored by Goblin. But it looks like Luca Guadagnino ("Call Me By Your Name") pulled it off. Early rumours about test audiences being pretty much traumatised by the gore and lead actress Dakota Fanning needing therapy after filming stoked the fires of anticipation and now the trailer is here, showing off Tilda Swinton's innate creepiness, Guadagnino's knack for gorgeous visuals and a first glimpse of Thom Yorke's film score. Proceed at your own peril.
A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe's artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up. Suspiria arrives in theaters November 2. From director Luca Guadagnino.
