Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!
The visionary talents of Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen are on full display at the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris. Seamlessly fusing craftsmanship with next-level technologies, the expo delves into the body's place in a rapidly evolving world. Over a hundred haute couture pieces engage in a dialogue with contemporary art curated by Cloé Pitiot and Louise Curtis, with scenography by Studio Nathalie Crinière. Witness art, fashion & innovation collide. Until April 28 2024.
An all-new, grand-scale expo for cult imagemaker Willy Vanderperre takes centre stage at MoMu. Feted for creating remarkable imagery for Raf Simons, Prada, AnOther Magazine, Dust, i-D, Perfect, Vogue, W and many more, the exhibition will spotlight Vanderperre's enduring fascination with youth over nearly 30 years. Alongside photography, the exhibition will feature artworks that inspired the artist’s creative evolution, tracing the development of his style as well as his symbiotic work with Olivier Rizzo & Raf Simons. Until August 4 2024.
This unmissable expo holds space for 160 works capturing Black artists' portrayal of modern life during the 1920s–40s in Harlem during the Great Migration. It's the first NYC art museum survey since 1987 highlighting the Harlem Renaissance's pivotal role in international modern art. With works by Charles Alston & Aaron Douglas alongside counterparts like Matisse & Picasso. Drawn from collections of HBCUs & Smithsonian contributions, this immersive exhibition is the one to beat next year. Until July 28 2024.
