This 960-page masterpiece showcases, for the first time ever, over 500 of Walter Van Beirendonck’s personal drawings, spanning from his early days at the Antwerp Fashion Department to his most recent collections. This 176-page book delves into Van Beirendonck’s unique collage method. Featuring over 100 never-before-seen colour collages from the 90s to most recently, ‘CUT THE WORLD AWAKE’ highlights how the designer sources inspiration from across art and culture to feed his groundbreaking collections. The publication also includes a brand-new interview with Walter and an exclusive conversation with his long-time hero, brilliant and boundary-shattering artist Paul McCarthy.
