“Best album opening track” is one of those debates between music fans that will never be settled. I would argue “The Birds Don’t Sing” off of this year’s “Let God Sort Em Out” by The Clipse will forever be a strong contender in that category. The video is a fittingly tearful, hopeful, LV-fits-filled affair by Brendan O’Connor.

P.S. My other Top 3 picks would be “Générique” by Miles Davis on the “Ascenseur pour l’échafaud” soundtrack and “Nikes” on the Frank Ocean Blonde album.
