DiiV singer Zachary Cole Smith has an uncanny knack for punching me right in the feels, mostly in a good way. In ‘Kid’, the lyrics pack their usual poetic melancholy punch (“everyone is a little kid / hiding from your feelings or something you did”), but the video adds a playful emotional layer by handing the camera to Zachary’s toddler and his friend. The rest of the band dress up as adults and act their part, like the rest of us.
