Looking back, the brooding and nasty debut of Silent Servant was my record of the year 2013. Sure, OK... Yeezus, etc. But sometimes you need to feel like a record is made for your headspace exclusively and that's what it felt like playing "Negative Fascination" over and over on my headphones, mainly while I was buckling down for work or when I was trying to wear my neurons down to a nub during evening runs.
And now finally, a new EP is pressed and ready to darken your local horizon.
"Broken English Club" is set for a Fall Release and the cover of Princess Diana getting out of cars alone is worth the purchase, people. Seriously.
Next-level London store LN-CC asked Silent Servant to make an "audio interpretation" of their store space and the result is a pulsing, sweating, moving swath of living darkness. Listen and download for free above.
Need more Silent Servant? Fabric just released his Fabric Live mix, heavy on the 'Jealous God' catalogue.
And here's his mix of 'Sacred Bones' by Danish next-up-band Lust for Youth.
