Two Christmas Grinches are here to bring some end-of-year relief.
'A sound is on the rise': we had to wait three years for it, but 'legends carry like a killer's nerve' and Shabazz Palaces is set to return with their second album called 'Lese Majesty'
here are more than 200 DJ Screw mixtapes out there for you to discover. Here's one of our favourites: "It's all good" (Chapter 107).
Yassss!!!! Out of the blue, or better: out of complete darkness Death Grips has uploaded their new album 'Government Plates' to Soundcloud.
This new Busta track with old-timey feel-good Kanye beat will be featured on E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) 2 and ... Damn son! Those Q-Tip bars!
Mr. Wes Pentz and his pecs have put together a massive soundcloud playlist for summer. Easy, now.
Chuck Inglish, you know, from The Cool Kids, donated his new 'Droptops' EP to the Internet for free. My neck injury healed just in time for me to nod along to this. (And you said the universe is random ...)
Pusha T slams down an epic beef track, tipping his hat to Biggie and starting up some ruckus with Drake and Lil' Wayne. The Dream signs off on the hook. Some great lines here: "We the ones the judges are juggling their gavels on". The sarcastic cackle sample is Uncle Ricky a.k.a. Slick Rick The Ruler. Crumbs.
I've been spending a lot of time writing a screenplay these last couple of days (not coming in a theatre near you, it's a corporate thing) on level extra hard 'cuz I gots to make it all happen without dialogue and goddamn I wish I had The Roots to back my storylines up. Questlove and his band of brothers are releasing a 'concept album' (ugh.. save it for the Coldplay press release) and to tease the world a lil' bit, they have been putting out parts of a black and white short film accompanying the 'Undun' tracks each Tuesday. There's three of them out already. Watch them after the jump. So many quotable bars and bone-chilling moments to cherish... Can't wait to hear (and see) the whole thing.
