Fenty Beauty By Rihanna Is Finally Here

Fenty Beauty By Rihanna Is Finally Here

Every day is just another opportunity to fall in love with Robyn Rihanna Fenty a bit more and today’s no exception. You’d think I’m exaggerating but you don’t have to be a hardliner stan to know this is true. I mean, look at this quote she just gave us. Mogul status is what Rih has in mind, and “Fenty Beauty” will see to just that. Rihanna’s brand-new, very own make-up line is being launched today and it’s a celebration of all skin tones. Here’s what you need to know.

THE RANGE

There are forty different Fenty Beauty foundation shades. Forty! As Rihanna explained in one of her signature random DM replies to fans, she wanted to “represent for my girls and we come in all shades, especially my brown sisters who have been left out too many times in the make-up world”.

You can get highlighters, blotting kits, shine sticks, lip glosses, primers, concealers, brushes and tools. Miss Fenty did not come to play, for a debut collection the range of it all (91 pieces) is pretty staggering. Also, the octagonal make-up vessels are magnetic so you can make your own honeycomb combinations (or find the products more easily in your purse because it’s all become one big clump in there).

THE FACE

Included in the fentybeauty.com website are make-up tutorials with Rihanna and her makeup artist James Kaliardos. Layer that highlight! Blot on the fly! You also get the details on which products Rihanna was sneakily wearing this year during events like Black Girls Rock (where she premiered the “Killawatt" gold highlighter seen above) and her Fenty Puma fashion show debut.

THE PRICE

Highlighters start around $24, foundations are $34, lip glosses are $18, tools start around $16 for a beauty blender to $54 for contour kits. That positions Fenty Beauty mid-range between affordable drug store products and really high-end professional make-up tools. At least that’s what I’ve gleaned from my relaxation therapy a.k.a. Youtube make-up guru tutorials. Catch me in my sleep muttering “without a primer your cut crease will be a mess, sis”. Side-note: if you order 150 dollars’ worth of product, the international shipping is free.

If you also want that RiRi glow-up, fentybeauty.com is open for business now. You can also head to Sephora US / Sephora France or Harvey Nichols for a fix.
