“The Men” is not like the others, playing punk the way they see fit since 2008, incorporating hardcore, country, post-punk and switching instrumentation or line-up whenever they felt like it. Their first demo is the stuff of punk legend: a hand-dubbed, spray-painted run of 32 copies. Sacred Bones has dug up the band’s first recordings, including the demo and several live recordings in New York and a selection of tracks has been compiled into the “Hated - 2008 - 2011” vinyl.

Launching the release into orbit is the fantastic ‘Ailment’, a riff-heavy romp set to grainy footage of early shows.
