Kate Bush is dropping a massive collection of rarities and B-sides in March, called “The Other Sides”. And as an extra treat, she’s uploading official versions of early recordings that until now were mostly shared among fans. Case in point: this live version of “Under The Ivy”, the B-side to “Running Up That Hill”, performed sparingly at a grand piano and announced by Paula Yates (with a tiny cameo by Jools Holland). It’s a song about intimacy and this version captures its essence in a way that is somehow simultaneously raw and sweet.
