The Avalanches have a rare gift of making positive music that steers clear from hacky affirmations and in “Take Care in your Dreaming”, a stellar line-up follows in their groove: Tricky’s beautiful refrain is barely audible, like a mantra he’s repeating to himself, Denzel Curry manages to skate through his entire life-story in just a few bars and Sampa The Great delivers the gorgeous line “Mama was a daughter of a chief, make sense since / Royalty so skin deep, melanin carried through heaps.”
