I'm really stoked about the contributions some of these new(-ish) kids are making to Belgian hip-hop and hip-hop tout court.
Lord knows cats like Baloji have been operating on some lonely level and even though they are adding something entirely different to the culture, I feel like Hamza (man, if you can't dig dude you have no sense of humour so don't talk to me, because I'm way too busy melange-ing la sauce la sauce) is here to get you wildin' & piss off your dad, while Bringhim is confusing the shit out of your moms because if she's honest she'd have to admit he's spitting some truths.
The name Bringhim is dope. First he was called Bringhim Backalive. He's been around for a while and since my girl Ouni put me on to him, I had been keeping an eye out to see whatitdo but I think that with the 'Pendulum' video & song it's finally all coming together.
Excellent lyrics and production, great video. When he was making it rain, I thought 'whyy?', but had to check myself for judging too soon because of what happens after + I see you with the "All Day" live @ The Brit Awards moodboard, Evans & Crank. Plus, once again rock solid work by DOP Frederic Van Zandycke.
