This morning, after returning from the accompanying Studio Africa Tour (Paris, London, Berlin), our friend briefly talked to us about the collaboration...
I got to preview the expo back in June and later on interviewed co-curator Javier Barcala and KNOTORYUS-favourite Manon Kündig who is one of the fashion graduates selected to show their collections during this event.
When the people at Timberland asked me if I would be interested in a skype session with the self-proclaimed Nana With an Attitude, I was nervous for three days (I always get like that. Remember Taz Arnold, Fonzworth Bentley, Pharrell, So_Me). Of course, I said some dumb things and I totally went off-topic, plus the badly installed office fire alarm went off in the middle of our conversation.
What’s your vice? Nasal spray, that nose clearing spray they tell you not to use for more than 3 days, been on that twice a day for a few months now. I just need to be able to smell the world or I freak out.
We talked about growing up in the eighties, his new albums, the new Ti$a MCM line (I got another scoop!) and Karl Lagerfeld.
I had a nice chat with Mathieu about the sculpture, the price tag, the release, KNOTORYUS, the future and little girls.
