Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!
In 2025, Bozar is hosting Belgian artist Berlinde De Bruyckere’s first major solo show. Her art dives deep into the human experience, blending Christian iconography, mythology, Flemish masters and cultural stories with modern-day themes of violence, suffering, beauty & hope. Explore 25 years of work alongside pieces from kindred artists like Lucas Cranach the Elder, Peter Buggenhout, Patti Smith & Pier Paolo Pasolini. Until August 31 2025.
The incredible artist Arthur Jafa holds court in the centre of Paris. This new exhibition features two powerful films by the master: ‘AGHDRA’ (2021), a haunting meditation on isolation and suppressed voices and ‘Love Is the Message, the Message Is Death’ (2016), a gripping montage of Black American life set to Kanye’s ‘Ultralight Beam’. Through these works, Jafa poignantly explores Black identity, resilience and collective memory. Until August 25 2025.
The mighty folks at Patta have teamed up with beloved bookstore Athenaeum Boekhandel to bring you a special collection of books that highlight Black and POC voices - stories that are often overlooked but crucial for understanding world history. This book corner is all about encouraging fresh perspectives & diving into narratives that truly shape culture. The collection will be available at Athenaeum in an ongoing fashion, so you can stop by anytime to explore these important reads. From March 30 2025.
