“It took a long time.” croons Stephen Dewaele in the opening lines of “TRANSIENT PROGRAM FOR DRUMS AND MACHINERY”. Yeah, no kidding. It took eleven years, to be precise. That’s how long it’s been since the Dewaele brothers officially released a new track under the Soulwax name.
I’ve had the link for half an hour and I’ve already listened to it three times. (It’s 8 minutes long and it’s pretty much glorious: smooth as a pebble and soft in all right places.)

With a special designed stage set and seven touring members, including original band member Stefaan Van Leuven on bass guitar & synth, three drummers – Victoria Smith (Jamie T), Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura, MIXHELL), Blake Davies (Turbowolf), and Laima Leyton (MIXHELL) on synth and backing vocals , Soulwax are taking a micro version of their DEEWEE studio for their universally renowned and fully live show on the road in 2017.
