I know that it might feel like everything around us is going to shit, but try to find comfort in the fact that David Bowie is still out there making great music and releasing crazy stunning visuals.
You can also take this as a cue that it's time to take all the ideas that have been floating inside in your head and start building around them.
Why? Because even after directing big stars like Madonna, Justin Bieber and doing brand work for H&M, Absolut and Diesel, it was director Johan Renck's ultimate dream to work with David Bowie, although he never expected it to happen. It was Renck's assistant who -for another project- reached out to Bowie on a whim, and you know who was on the phone THE NEXT DAY?
"Sup, dis Aladdin Sane."
So all hail great assistants and enjoy this video.
Can I add that even after all these years, everytime I see a Johan Renck film, I go :
"but that Stakka Bo, though."
David Bowie’s new album *which is just a graphic of a black star* ( and is pronounced Blackstar) will be released on January 8, 2016, is now available for pre-order in various formats, including CD/Vinyl/Digital and a limited clear vinyl version.
