Gather round people.
Let's catch up on things.

Some guy in art school made this to illustrate his creative process and it made me smile and I hope you get a snicker out of it too.
"Hi, how are you Daniel Johnston"
is a new documentary about trip inside the mind of the troubled genius Daniel Johnston. The entire 16-minute short film is set up as a conversation between the young Daniel and the current one, sitting in the basement where much of his greatest songs came to be. The film is executive produced by Lana Del Rey and you can watch it for next to nothing on Vimeo right now.
Here's Lana and Daniel posing for V Magazine:
Baloji - "Unité & Litre"
from the new EP "64 Bits and Malachite". It was worth the wait. You can dine on this video for days, peeling back the lyrics from the visuals and the beats to appreciate the full depth of the song.
The Sun in HD.
A boy, a bed, a chain and lots of silk.
Love his new album, which has been the soundtrack to our office Christmas decoration these last few days.
Pusha T - "Untouchable".
Not the greatest video, but it's King Push, which means it's always worth your time.
Richie Quake - "4 U I Care"
Oh Richie, you had me at the opening line "I can't think without getting older." I imagine George Constanza playing this to death on his CD-Midi-Hi-Fi-tower at home.
Live in Paris 2014. Stumbled across this live performance again the other day. Why isn't she all over the planet yet? Fix it, guys.
Sonic Youth Gila Monster Jamboree 1985
I was reading Kim Gordon's "Girl in a Band" and there's a great passage about this gig in the desert with no stage and just a few lucky punks in the audience while Kim belts her lungs out. Amazingly (or perhaps not) it's just sitting there on YouTube now for the rest of time until you watch it. Here's the full version.
And as always, ending with a fun one.
It's by Martin Scorsese on HBO.
Whoa, nice! When is it?
