"Canada" is one of those artists that could not have come out 10 years ago. As a director, his distinctive visual mix of found images, satanic imagery, sex, violence, funny and pop culture are very *dry heave* 'now'. Expect to see his name on the credits of some heavily funded pop bands soon. (He just joined the ranks of Partizan, the Wu-Tang clan of directors, after his internet succes with El Guincho) For now, his work has been coupled to lesser known artists, like Triangulo De Amor Bizzaro.

I don't really get why everyone keeps talking shit about M.I.A. I was watching the new (not Hype Williams-directed) video for XXO on Vulture, whose resident blogger seems to be offended by M.I.A. not smiling throughout the video. Really? That's your critique? You have to smile in a video to make it?

If those Hollywood types think they can make me post a viral for their new movie "The Other Guys" with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg just because Eva Mendes is in it and (kind of) singing and (kind of) dancing with Cee-Loo Green, they're... well... completely right!
